2016-2017 Student Assessment Data Validation Report
February 28, 2018
TO THE ADMINISTRATOR ADDRESSED:
Subject: 2016-2017 Student Assessment Data Validation Report
The purpose of this letter is to provide districts, including charter schools, with an update on the status of the 2016-2017 Student Assessment Data Validation Report (SADV). The agency is currently reevaluating data reporting and analysis procedures to determine how to best align indicators evaluated in the Performance-Based Monitoring Analysis System (PBMAS) with the A–F academic accountability system, which will go into effect this August. Consequently, the 2016-2017 Student Assessment Data Validation district and student-level reports will not be produced this year. Please note that the SADV Report is expected to be reinstated.
As a result of realigning the processes used for student assessment data validation, intervention staging for the SADV Report will not occur for the 2016-2017 school year.
For questions about the SADV Report, please contact Performance-Based Monitoring by phone at (512) 936-6426 or by email at pbm@tea.texas.gov.
We appreciate your support of data validation monitoring and its focus on a data-driven, performance-based approach to assist districts and charter schools with their ongoing efforts to improve student outcomes and data accuracy.
Thank you.
