Educator Advisory Committee

The Educator Advisory Committee (EAC), established as part of House Bill 3906, 86th Texas Legislature, 2019, (Texas Education Code §39.02302), is an advisory committee that provides feedback and recommendations about the entirety of the Texas Assessment Program. The committee was created in January 2020 and is composed of educators with diverse experience and expertise across the state. Committee members serve for a period of four years.

The EAC meets biannually to discuss and provide feedback on various parts of the Texas Assessment Program; ad hoc meetings are scheduled as needed. Meeting topics have included items such as the recent STAAR Redesign, implementation of new Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills into the assessment program, and the Texas Through-year Assessment Pilot (TTAP).

Thank you to those who applied for the committee. At this time, we have filled the open positions. We will open recruiting again in the future and hope that you will apply again.
