What is LASO Cycle 3? 

The Learning Acceleration Support Opportunities (LASO) Cycle 3 is the next iteration of a universal consolidated application cycle that strategically batches grant funding opportunities for Texas school systems to support continued learning acceleration and innovation opportunities. LASO Cycle 3 will offer $160 Million in supports and services via 11 grant programs consolidated into one program application. 

What are the Included Grant Opportunities?

LASO program grants focus on three primary learning acceleration strategies: Curriculum & Instruction, More Time, and Innovative School Models. The following 11 grants will be included: 

Instructional Materials

  • Strong Foundations Planning Supports (SFP) 
  • Strong Foundations Implementation Supports (SFI) 
  • Strong Foundations Implementation School Improvement PLC Supports (SFI-SI-PLC) 
  • Instructional Leadership (IL)  
  • Technology Lending Grant (TLG) 
  • Math Innovation Zones and the Blended Learning Grant Program (BLGP) 
  • Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles (AP CSP) 

More Time

  • Additional Days School Year Planning and Execution Program (ADSY PEP) Summer Learning 

Innovative School Models

  • School Action Fund (SAF) 
  • Early College High School (ECHS) 
  • Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH)
